At last – A Real Most Wise in Clevedon

The September 2025 meeting of Clevedon Chapter Rose Croix saw the very experienced Excellent and perfect Bro Ron Blackhurst installed as Most Wise Sovereign (MWS), a position he never thought he could aspire too until receiving the support of not one, but two Inspector Generals, plus the outgoing MWS, who went out of his way to ensure Ron enjoys the rewards of office that he so richly deserves.

Ron has been the backbone of the Chapter as it’s Recorder for many years, a job he never expected or really wanted, and so the Chapter gave Ron its full support (plus they wanted rid of the existing MWS 🙂 ), in what has become the ethos of the only daylight Chapter “up North”, that every help and support will be given to all members who aspire to and wish to continue enjoying their Masonic journey.

The morning was made especially special by some important visitors, namely his son James (soon to be APGM in Berkshire), and Very Illustrious Bro Clive Lambert. Illustrious Bro Martin Slocombe, who has been a staunch supported the Chapter, came to the rescue again with the Addresses.

Congratulations Ron – have a great year!

Clevedon Chapter meets in September (Installation), March and June – starting at 10.30 with coffee and tea before the meeting, a 2 course light lunch to ensure everybody has time to get home before the traffic !
