Alfred Chapter No 13 Supporting Somerset Sight
In April 2025, At Taunton Masonic Hall, Harry Price of the Alfred Chapter of Rose Croix Chapter No. 13 presented a very kind and generous cheque of £300 to Christine Briggs, Vice-chair of Trustees for Somerset Sight.
Somerset Sight has been recognized by many lodges and chapters over the last couple of years as a very worthwhile cause. Their aim is to aim is to provide services, training and leisure activities that will help maintain independence and improve the quality of life of anyone who is affected by sight loss.
Somerset Sight was chosen as Alfred Chapter’s charity, and has additionally been supported by Royal Somerset Lodge No 973, Frome, the Lodge of St George 3158, Taunton, the Cumba Preceptory No 476, Crewkerne, Portcullis Lodge No 2038, Langport, and The Lodge of Unanimity and Sincerity No. 261, Taunton.

Joanne Thorogood, the office manage for Somerset Sight said “I feel we have been very lucky with the support shown by the Somerset Freemasons, Lodges and Chapters. We wish to thank them all.“
