Despite the best efforts of several senior member of the order who joined the chapter, attendance has continued to decline resulting in very great difficulty in holding meaningful and enjoyable meetings. Closing the chapter will allow those in the north of the district to direct their support to the other chapters meeting in the area, Estune and Portbury Priory at Nailsea and Clevedon Chapter, which meets in the daytime at, as the name suggests, Clevedon Masonic Hall. Whilst this is a sad end to a chapter formed over 60 years ago it’s proud history won’t be forgotten and it’s current members will continue to be active members of the order.
