Sedgemoor Chapter welcome the Inspector General

The Sedgemoor Rose Croix Chapter Number 966 met on 9th September2025 at Bridgewater Masonic Hall where Ill Bro Dennis Huxley presented a paper on the early origins of the Rose Croix, which had been compiled by Ill Bro Michale Morgan 31º in July 1990.

Up to this time this presentation had not been heard outside the Supreme Council; it covered such subjects as why the formal establishment of our Supreme Council was delayed until after the death of the Duke of Sussex in 1843, And, why it was originally known as the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite until the word Scottish was discontinued in England & Wales in 1909.

The highlight of the meeting was when Very Ill Bro. David C.A. Mason Inspector General for Somerset presented Perfection Certificates to E&P Bros Ian Bilington and Ivan Kandzhikov and encouraged them, and newer members, to take on small pieces of ritual as soon as they feel able.
