Harry Franklin Chapter No 1139 welcomes a new member … and the Inspector General
At the regular meeting held on Friday 10th October, the Most Wise Sovereign (MWS), Excellent and Perfect (E&P) Brother James McNally welcomed Very Illustrious Brother David Mason, Inspector General, on his first visit to the chapter. The Inspector General apologised that he has been unable to make the trip to Crewkerne until now due to diary pressures but was looking forward to the evening.
E&P Brother James then went on to lead his team in Perfecting their newest member, E&P Brother Andrew Gordon-Reid. Andrew has an impressive Masonic family pedigree, his grandfather being a senior Grand Officer in the Irish Constitution and his brother is very active in Lancashire.
The ceremony was very well performed and E&P Bro Andrew proved to be an excellent candidate.
The Inspector General commented that it was good to see the work being done by a variety of brethren, several of whom had yet to reach the Sovereigns chair.
The ceremony was rounded off with a very sincere Third Point, conducted by their senior member, Illustrious Brother Paulin Phillips 32°.
After the closing everyone repaired to the dining room to enjoy each other’s company and some good Somerset fayre.
