Nothing stops Terry receiving his 30th°

“The Inspector General V.Ill. Bro. David Mason was delighted to attend the January meeting of Frome Chapter Rose Croix, where he had the honour and privilege on behalf of The Supreme Council 33 of conferring the 30th Degree on Ill.Bro. Terry Hulbert. Ill.Bro. Terry had an excellent year as MWS of the chapter and was elected to the 30th degree by Supreme Council on the recommendation of his Past Sovereigns and of the Inspector General.

Unfortunately, Ill.Bro. Terry has recently been diagnosed with cancer and is currently undergoing chemotherapy, which made it impossible for him to travel to London to receive his promotion in extenso in the normal way. In view of this The Supreme Council readily agreed to the Inspector Generals request to confer the degree by patent at a regular Chapter meeting.

The Inspector General took the MWS’s chair and after asking the 18th Degree’s present to withdraw he performed a short but moving ceremony to advance Ill.Bro. Terry to the degree of a Grand Elected Night Kadosh, Night of the Black and White Eagle. It was particularly poignant that he was able to invest him with his late brothers regalia.

After the 18th degree’s were readmitted, an excellent demonstration of the Perfection Ceremony was performed after which, those present repaired to the dining room to enjoy an excellent dinner in good company. The whole evening was wonderful demonstration of what makes the Ancient and Accepted Rite the ne plus ultra of Freemasonry.”
